It’s no secret that we have a slight case of wedding fever over here at Chalkboard China, but upon seeing BHLDN’s selection of breathtaking bridal and bridesmaids dresses it’s safe to say that our love for all things wedding related has reached a new level.

BHLDN is pronounced “beholden” (Dutch for “to keep”) which is exactly what we wanted to do with every little thing we laid our eyes on at the website. It’s clear to see that all of the dresses stray far away from the seemingly omnipresent white strapless ball gown and goes toward a vintage inspired world similar to that of its sister store, Anthropologie.

Their “heirloom quality” collection ranges from soft, romantic bridal gowns to those with a classic silhouette flattering all figures. And of course, your favorite ladies can mix and match easily in their selection of whimsical and fun-loving bridesmaids dresses. With a variety of colors, shades and prints, we especially love that even after the big day many of these dresses can be brought out and worn to another special occasion.

At BHLDN, completing the look is easy with a bohemian headpiece, cover-up or antique influenced jewelry, which are all made with exceptionally beautiful details. Knowing that wedding planning is nothing short of overwhelming, both online and at the two store locations provide stylists to assist you every step of the way. They’re there to make sure the bride is fully satisfied on her dream day. So sweet!

And one more thing to add to our “Why We Love BHLDN” list is this online boutique goes beyond dresses to further give the bride a full wedding experience. They have everything from how-to videos to fun event ideas all presented in an interactive way. One fun feature includes a Mood Board Maker where the bride is able to envision her special day with inspirational images from BHLDN and her own personal collection. She can arrange these photos together and either share them with friends and family or keep them private.

There are a number of BHLDN wedding stories on the website, but we would much rather share one a little more personal. Back in May our sweet friends, Red and Jenny, tied the knot in a breath-taking setting in The French Alps. With a venue as unique as the couple themselves, it only made sense that Jenny stayed true to her individual taste. She was absolutely stunning in her BHLDN tiered dress, which was perfectly complemented by a BHLDN bolero, shoes and jewelry.
