Shops We Dig: The MoMA Store

As you know by now, we’re big fans of the small boutiques, the unknown shops and the stores carrying things you can’t find in the everyday department or grocery store. One of our favorite shops that carries unique gifts, talented designs from designers, rare trinkets and more is the Museum of Modern Art Design and Book Store (or MoMA for short).
While the Museum of Modern Art is a household name, the MoMA Design and Book Store came to fruition after the art museum dedicated a department to Architecture & Design. The MoMA Store promotes values of “‘Good Design” by highlighting the latest in materials, production, and design concepts from around the world.”
Whether you’ve shopped at the MoMA Store before or not, you’ll come to learn that this shop is known for its exquisite products celebrating some of the world’s most creative and unique designs and designers. Products at the MoMA Store range from gifts to clothing to items for the home.

The Half-Pint Creamer

New York Then and Now
A photography book visually taking you through the thrills and chills of New York City and its history, New York Then and Now available at the MoMA Store would be the perfect gift for a history lover. It was recently updated with new events and occurrences in the city and features historic photographs placed side-by-side with images of the modern cityscape.
